Library Instruction Goes Multilingual

Last year we piloted a program of offering library time in French from time to time for upper primary school French classes. This year we are working to expand our multilingual library times to include German and Spanish. Our goal is to preserve the immersion experience through library time and also to better promote the love of reading in all languages. Here is a library staff member working with a class in French.

Parent Volunteers Help with Younger Students

The library staff is very grateful for the help of 4K, 5K and 1st grade parents who have helped with library times for younger students. This year, the library asked parents to sign up to help with library bags on library days for these grades. The response has been tremendous and parents have enjoyed learning about the library and observing our littlest library patrons in action!
