Jane Kurtz Visit to Primary School

On Thursday, April 5, the Primary School will welcome author Jane Kurtz to speak to students in grades 5K through 5. She will share her own stories and thoughts about writing and will make connections to current PYP units of inquiry. Although she was born in the United States, Ms. Kurtz grew up in Ethiopia and many of her books have connections to Africa. She will autograph books while she is on campus and students are welcome to bring their own copies of her books for this purpose. Barnes & Noble Bookstore at The Peach shopping center near the school has several Jane Kurtz titles in stock and is happy to order additional books on request.

Third Graders Explore Native American Cultures

The third graders' projects on Native Americans are currently on display on the primary school side of the library. This annual project is always a hit with students schoolwide. Everyone enjoys looking at the wonderful models, crafts, artwork and posters created by the third grade students. Please come experience this lovely exhibit of all the third grade students have learned in their PYP unit entitled "Steps in History."
