Megan McDonald Creates a Run on "Judy Moody" Books

Fourth graders went to the Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library today to see author Megan McDonald receive the 2007 Milner Award. Ms. McDonald entertained the audience with inside stories about how she created the wonderful fictional character, Judy Moody, and how she developed ideas for her Judy Moody stories. Afterward, several of our students won a Judy Moody book which Ms. McDonald personally autographed just for them. Upon our return to AIS, students went straight for the library copies of the Judy Moody books, checking all six of them out before independent checkout time was over. Way to go, Megan McDonald, and congratulations from the AIS students for winning the 2007 Milner Award!
