Book Talk Weeks Have Wide Appeal!

We are into our second month of language book talks and this is one new library program that students and teachers seem to really enjoy. Books in all languages are flying off the library shelves as students become engaged in independent reading in all language collections.

In September, Hannelore Fricke, library paraprofessional, shared German books with students in several grades, Elena Barrio, upper school librarian, had fun sharing Spanish books with younger students, and Mrs. Pascale Viala, primary school parent, introduced favorite French books to students in several grades. Mrs. Hermann presents the English books during the other week of the month.

So far this month, Mrs. Fricke and Mrs. Hermann have presented books in German and English respectively.

As this program develops, we plan to share some of these books talks with parents and students through our Audio Book Reviews link to the E Bulletin Board. Stay tuned . . . . .
